The Cumberland and Happy Hollow Dog Parks Welcome You!

Our dog parks are dedicated to fun and bonding time with your furry friends. We ask all patrons to follow the regulations listed below so space can be enjoyed by all:

  • Open dawn to dusk
  • Enjoy the park at your own risk: Patrons assume the risk of personal injury and/or property damage
  • Patrons are responsible for the behavior of their dog(s)
  • Dogs must be leashed while entering and exiting the park
  • Food and treat items for dogs and/or humans are not permitted
  • Dogs are the only animal permitted in the park
  • Dogs must never be unattended
  • 3 dog limit per household
  • Dog waste must be cleaned up immediately
  • Dogs must have current vaccinations and be free from contagious diseases
  • Dogs must wear a flat collar with current tags visible; Pronged, spiked or choke collars are not permitted
  • Aggressive behavior and excessive barking are not permitted
  • Dogs must be 4 months or older
  • Spaying/neutering of dogs is required
  • Children less than 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times; Space is not recommended for infants and toddlers
  • Parents must ask permission from the dog owner before children play with dogs
  • Patrons must fill holes made by their dog
  • Professional dog training is not permitted unless approved by the West Lafayette Parks and Recreation Board
  • Patrons must obey all other West Lafayette Park rules and regulations
  • The City reserves the right to refuse patrons access
  • The park is subject to closure without notice

Violation of any of the above regulations may result in loss of leash-free area privileges and/or citation as permitted by the municipal code. This park is not attended by staff but shall be monitored and checked on by citizens, parks staff, and other city staff.
